Many established programs can lay a good foundation for character education programs.  We encourage you to develop your own program by incorporating your personal understanding of your student population into an existing program.

Character Education Partnership - Based in Washington, D.C., they are a nonprofit, nonpartisan, nonsectarian, coalition of organizations and individuals committed to fostering effective character education in our nation's K-12 schools.

Character Counts - A nationwide nonprofit initiative to support nonpartisan, nonsectarian character education

School for Ethical Education - Provides strategies for putting ethics in action.  Offers curriculum material, resources, professional development.

The Center for the Advancement of Ethics and Character - A Boston University site providing resources for teachers, parents and students.

Character Ed Network - The Character Education Network provides curriculum and activities organized by common character traits.

Positive Action - Promotes a community-based approach to character education.

National Character Education Center - Provides multiple resources and character ed seminars.

Character Education and Civic Engagement Technical Assistance Center - Federal Government program that provides support and information.
