Good character, responsible
citizenship, honest discussion, real community.....
In perhaps a simply perfect world, kids and teens
would naturally adopt qualities of good character
and responsible citizenship. However, falling
a bit short of living in that world, adults need to
provide guidance on the right path to take. We
believe guiding children on that path is far more
effective if the discussions and instructions take
place within a real community. When trust is
formed, honest discussion can take place. When
honest discussion is listened to, teachers gain a
greater understanding of their students ideas and
opinions about behavior and character. Before
anything else begins, start by building a community.
